Ratanhia is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the root of the Krameria triandra plant. Belonging to the Krameriaceae family, it has been traditionally valued for its therapeutic properties in treating anal and rectal disorders. In homoeopathy, Ratanhia is primarily used to alleviate symptoms of painful hemorrhoids and anal fissures. It is also employed for its effects on rectal itching, burning pain after stool, and other conditions affecting the anal region.

- Rectal Pain and Burning
- Severe rectal pain described as feeling like it is full of broken glass. The anus experiences intense aching and burning for hours after a bowel movement. There is also a sensation of tightness and dry heat in the anus, with sharp, knife-like pains.
- Hemorrhoids and Anal Fissures
- Stools are difficult to pass, requiring considerable effort, which can lead to the protrusion of hemorrhoids. The anus feels extremely constricted and burns intensely, similar to a sensation of fire, with temporary relief from cold water. Anal fissures are also common, with significant burning and constriction.
- Diarrhea and Burning Stools
- Foul-smelling, thin diarrhea with burning sensation both before and after passing stools. There may be oozing and itching around the anus.
